Allow PDP to return to power: Choudhary

JAMMU, Apr 8: Urging people to exercise their right to franchise in favour of party candidate Yash Pal Sharma, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leader and co-ordinator for Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary constituency Abdul Hamid Choudhary today said that Coalition Government in the State failed miserably and could not keep promises made with them and virtually failed people who had pinned all hopes in the Coalition Government.
Choudhary Hamid said that National Conference (NC) led Coalition Government in the State could not empower Panchayats throughout five years, failed to hold elections to local bodies including municipal committees, town area committees and Municipal Corporations besides Block Development Councils (BDCs) but was still canvassing on the plank of development.
The Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) scam was the biggest ever scam that took place right under the nose of Coalition Government and marred the career of many students.
The end result of inefficiency of this Government, he said is that its wrong policies pushed the State into a debt trap. Choudhary Hamid urged people to not to fall a prey to false and fabricated promises of this Government and allow PDP to return era of peace, prosperity, development and a good governance.
Party patron, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and president PDP Mehbooba Mufti, he said, have after threadbare deliberations given people able and credible candidates for the ensuing Parliamentary polls and people must vote for them.
National Conference-Congress coalition alliance, Choudhary Hamid in his statement said had outlived its life and time has come to witness result oriented governance which only PDP can give.
