JAMMU, May 9: Jammu Asha Kiran Welfare Society (JAKWS), Jammu, today organized a symposium on Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh in the premises of Government Girls High School (GGHS), Janipur Colony.
The function was presided over by Incharge Headmaster, GGHS Janipur Colony, Davinder Gupta. Fifteen students of different classes of two Government schools took part in the symposium.
Komal and Kiran of Government Middle School stood first and second, respectively while Arti of GGHS Janipur Colony claimed third position.
The winners were awarded with mementoes while other participants were also given consolation prizes.
Earlier, on Thursday JAKWS also organized a symposium on the topic ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ in the premises of Activity Higher Secondary School, Janipur Colony in which Sarabjeet Kour of class 10th, Taniya Gupta of Class 9th and Aks Shah of Class 10th stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd, respectively.
