JAMMU, July 2: Jain Aacharya Shri Subhadra Muni Ji Maharaj along with his disciples reached Jammu city today where he was accorded a grand reception by SS Jain Sabha Jammu at Jain Hall, here.
Addressing the followers, Aacharya Muni Ji Maharaj said that the teachings of Lord Mahaveera like ‘Ahimsa Parmo Dharma’ and ‘ Jiyo Aur Jeene Do’ hold their values in present world even after so many years.
He stressed upon the people to follow teachings and preaching of Lord Mahaveera.
Speaking on the occasion, Speaker Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta said that visit of such saints in our city will help in maintaining healthy and peaceful environment in otherwise disturbed atmosphere.
He also released a book written by Aacharya ji.
MLA Jammu East, Rajesh Gupta, who was also present on the occasion said that Jain Community by nature is a peace loving community and they have contributed a lot in the economic and social progress of our State.
Vikram Randhawa, MLC said that I am delighted to receive such great saints in this city of temples.
Prominent among those who were present on the occasion were Office bearers and members of S.S Jain Sabha, Jain Yuvak Sangh, Jain Istri Sabha, Jain Taruni Mandal and Shrman Sanskriti Manch, while the function was presided over by Raj Kumar Jain, President S.S Jain Sabha and proceedings of the function were conducted by Raman Jain, General Secretary.
