JAMMU, July 2: The J&K Branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), celebrated its 68th CA Foundation Day.
A large number of Chartered Accountants & CA Students participated overwhelmingly and donated blood at ICAI Bhawan, Canal Road, Jammu in collaboration with the Department of Blood Transfusion & JKSACS. The J&K Branch has been organizing such camps consecutively for the past several years to mark CA Day Celebrations.
To celebrate this event, a one of its kind programme was organized at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu where the chief guest was Minister of State Independent Charge for Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, Prime Minister’s Office, Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Department of Atomic Energy & Department of Space, Dr. Jitendra Singh, special guest was Dr. Dr Dipanker Sen Gupta and guest speaker on GST from Delhi was CA Puneet Agrawal.
These special guests were accompanied on the dais by the office bearers of the Executive Committee of J&K Branch of NIRC of the ICAI namely CA Sudhir Kumar Arora, Chairman, CA Ajay K Gupta, Vice Chairman and CA Anish Abrol, Secretary.
At the programme, official and dignitaries from Income Tax Department, Commercial Taxes Department Jammu, Department of Central Excise, Department of State Excise, banking sector, other State and Central agencies, Members of Sales Tax Bar Association, Members of Sales Tax-Tax practitioners association, members of Institute of Company Secretary’s of India, members of different trade and industry associations, CA Students were also invited.
CA Simriti Kohli and CA Akhileshwar Singh Salathia hosted the programme.
CA Sudhir Kumar Arora, Chairman, welcomed the guests in his inaugural speech.
CA Ajay K Gupta, Vice Chairman, presented a brief overview of the new CA Course curriculum and also emphasized the role of Chartered Accountants and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, at large, in the implementation of Goods and Services Act.
CA Anish Abrol, Secretary, presented the formal vote of thanks to chief guest, special guests and other attendees at the venue.
Executive Committee Members of J&K Branch of NIRC of the ICAI CA Ashwani Khajuria, CA Shalay Razdan, CA Jatinder Jaswal were also present along with the co-opted members for organizing the programme namely CA Rakesh Gupta, CA Hemant Sharma, CA Dharamvir Chopra, CA Hardeep Aggarwal, CA Pawan Kapur, CA Vinay Saraf, CA Pardeep Gandotra, CA Karanbir Singh Sethi, CA Jai Singh Jamwal, CA Krishan Gupta.
