JAMMU, Apr 15: A delegation of Jagti Core Committee members under the presidentship of Ashok Koul met Minister of Consumer Affairs Public Distribution & Transport, Choudhary Mohammed Ramzan and submitted a memorandum of various demands and problems on the occasion.
The delegation while discussing the problems of Jagti inmates expressed concern over 18 hour power cuts in the camp and termed it a human rights violation.
The Minister assured the delegation to take up the issue with the concerned Minister for a sympathetic and amicable consideration in consultation with representatives of the Jagti camp, keeping in view the elections 2014.
Other problems relating the Jagti camp were also discussed for their proper solution that include providing of separate Gas Agency in Jagti camp, regular Government transport facility and supply of full quota of ration to Government employees on APL rates.
Other, members of delegation were Bushan Lal Bhat, M L Padroo, Ramesh Padroo, Kiran Razdan and Kuldeep Ji.
The NC Minority Cell, president M K Yogi and Pinky Bhat were also the part of the delegation.
