SRINAGAR, June 6: J&K ITI Employees United Front organised national level conference of Govt ITI employees and workers of Skill Development Department at Tagore Hall Srinagar, in Kashmir under the leadership of Vinod Shekhawat, president UFGITIEA of Govt ITI Employees Associations (All India) here today.
Leaders of Govt ITI Employees Association from more than 20 states of the country who were here at Srinagar for General Council Session on June 5, also participated in the conference. Nazir Ahmed Lawey Ex-MP was the chief guest on the occasion where as National president Vinod Shekhawat , Mohd Gafoor Dar veteran Trade Union leader, J&K was the guest of honour on the occasion.
All India president, Vinod Shekhawat endorsed all the demands projected by the delegates in the conference. While addressing the conference Nazir Ahmed Lawey supported the demands of the employees of Skill Development Department and urged upon the Lieutenant Governor/ JK(UT) Administration for consideration of the issues.
Nazir Ahmed Molvi, leader of J&K ITI Employees United Front while initiating debate on the burning demands of the Skill Development Department stressed upon the Govt of JKUT for immediate rederessal of the genuine issues of the employees which are pending since long. Gafoor Ahmed Dar supported all the genuine demands raised by the delegate in the conference and urged upon the Lieutenant Governor Administration for settlement of the long pending issues on the priority basis.
Several other prominent Trade Union leaders from various states and UTs also address the conference. The major demands included regularization of services of the employees working on adhoc, contractual, academic and consolidated basis who have already rendered more than 10 years service in the department under the Directorate of Skill Development Department, JK (UT) and enhancement of salary (basic grade pay) until their regularization.
