JAMMU, May 28: The office bearers of Dhaba Union held a meeting here, today through video conferencing to discuss the burning issues faced by dhaba owners of Jammu province.
The meeting was presided over by Bodh Raj Dogra, president of the Union. The Union members also approached the representatives of Chamber Federation J&K, Jammu as well as divisional and district level administration to discuss the issues faced by Dhaba owners during the lock down period which was enforced due to spread of COVID-19. They said the dhaba owners of Jammu division are facing hardships because of the shut down of their dhabas over last 60 days.
The meeting said that the dhaba owners neither have any source of income nor the UT administration had extended any financial as well as moral support to them.
The Union has requested to the divisional as well as district administration through the medium of this notice with regard to redressal of the demands of aggrieved dhaba owners and issue instructions to reopen their dhabas strictly under the guidelines of MHA only for home delivery like other eateries till the situation of COVID-19 returns normal.
Those who participated in the video conferencing included Murari Lal Balgotra, vice president of the Union, Vijay Kumar Manni, Kuldeep Balgotra, both general secretaries, Ramesh Balgotra, Kamal Balgotra, Girdhari Lal, Surinder Kumar and Sudesh Kumar Gupta.
