Irrigation Department workers protest for wages

UDHAMPUR, Aug 10: Workers Welfare Association Irrigation Department today protested against the non payment of salaries of the Need Based as well as the Daily Wagers of the department.
The protesting workers raised slogans against the authorities and demanded immediate release of their wages, pending for the last two-three years.
While addressing the protesting workers, leaders of the Association lamented that despite their repeated pleas to the authorities, wages of the poor workers were not being released The Government seems least bothered about the difficulties being faced by these employees of the department, who are not able to fulfill even the basic needs of their families, the speakers said and announced to continue their protest till the wages are released.
Those who addressed the demonstration included Pawan Kumar, Jagdish Chand, Rashpal Singh, Sher Mohd, Darshan Singh and others.
