JAMMU, Apr 2: International Sikh Awareness Front (INSAF) has urged upon the BJP leadership at the Centre and also State BJP president Sat Sharma to induct the lone Sikh Legislator (MLC) in the new Cabinet.
Addressing press conference here today, chairman of the INSAF, Harpal Singh Palli said that Sikh community is being feeling neglected as no Sikh member was there in the previous BJP-PDP Government under Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. There are so many issues of the community and it is necessary to have a Sikh minister in the Cabinet who can project the voice of the Sikh community.
Mr Palli claimed that S Charanjeet Singh Khalsa is MLC from BJP and is most honest and dedicated member of the community. He should be inducted as minister in the Cabinet. The Sikh community will feel honoured if the a Sikh member is inducted into the Cabinet.
He recalled that S Habans Singh was inducted in the cabinet by the Farooq Abdullah led Government. But the PDP and BJP have not done justice with the community. It is hoped that this time, both the parties would do justice with the community. In Jammu, most of the Sikh community voted for BJP this time and the community have high hopes that BJP would reciprocate the process by offering cabinet berth to a Sikh member.
Amarjeet Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Dr Nirmal Singh (SAD), Dr Pupinder Singh Master Harbans Singh, Gurpurab Singh, Dr Manpreet Kour  and Raman Kumar Sharma were also present.
