IIM Jammu organizes PDT for Directors, BoG members of TEQIP Institutes

JAMMU, Dec 10: Indian Institute of Management Jammu organized a two- day Professional Development Training (PDT) Program for Directors and BoG of TEQIP Institutes.
The objective of the PDT was to offer a pragmatic approach to the academic leadership through strategic planning in higher education. IIM Jammu is recognized as the partner institute by NPIU, Ministry of Human Resource Development in providing a series of training to the Vice Chancellors, Board Members, Deans, Directors, TEQIP coordinators and senior faculty of TEQIP Institutes.
The program was inaugurated by Prof B S Sahay, Director IIM Jammu, and Talat Parvez Rohella, Secretary Higher Education, Government of Jammu and Kashmir interacted with the participants in the evening.
Prof Muqbil Burhan, Chairperson Executive Education IIM Jammu, discussed importance and development of Mission/Vision for technical institutions. Prof Manoj Singh Gaur, Director, IIT Jammu delivered a session on Technology in Higher Education by sharing the case of IIT Jammu.
Prof M K Dhar, Vice Chancellor University of Jammu, spoke about the importance of national and international accreditation and ranking for the institutions of higher education. Prof Jabir Ali, from IIM Jammu delivered a session on process of internationalization of higher education through collaboration and exchange.
Prof Ravindra Kumar Sinha, Vice Chancellor, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University and Padma Shri Awardee interacted with the participants on strengthening research and publication for achieving excellence and was also the chief guest of the valedictory session. Prof. Jabir Ali and Prof Renuka Devi were the Program Directors of the PDT.
