IGP reviews security, crime scenario in Samba, Kathua

JAMMU, Aug 31: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu Zone Mukesh Singh today visited Kathua and Samba districts to review law and order, security and crime scenario.
He also chaired an introductory meeting with all the Gazetted Officers viz SHOs and Incharge Police Posts of both the districts.
Shridhar Patil, SSP Kathua,   Shakti K Pathak, SSP Samba, Ramnish Gupta Additional SP Kathua, Vikrant Sharma CPO, all supervisory officers, SHOs and other police officers were present in the meeting.
At the outset SSP Kathua and Samba briefed IGP Jammu Zone about the law and order, crime and security scenario alongwith other activities being carried out by police in the districts. They also highlighted measures adopted to strengthen security grid and improve policing.
IGP Jammu Zone interacted with all officers, reviewed crime pattern of the area and issued directions to them to improve police working and better public relations.
IGP also emphasized to adopt measures to deal drug menace stringently and directed them to infuse extraordinary efforts to put kingpins of the drug smuggling behind bars. Highlighting prevalent situation across IB, IGP directed all the officers to remain alert and vigilant and adopt foolproof security system to neutralize any terrorist activity in their area of responsibility.
SSP Kathua and Samba assured IGP Jammu Zone of wholehearted efforts to achieve the targets.
