JAMMU, Aug 31: Army Public School Kaluchak organized a three days Inter APS Cluster-1 Badminton Tournament for the session 2019-20, here.
Eight schools, namely APS Jammu Cantt, APS Ratnuchak, APS Sunjwan, APS BD Bari, APS Miran Sahib, APS Samba, APS Damana and APS Kaluchak participated in the tournament.
It was nip and tuck between the teams of APS BD Bari and APS Kaluchak who had qualified for the finals.
APS Kaluchak clinched the winner’s trophy, who were really swift with their forehand shots while their opponents struggled to keep pace with them.
The purpose of this competition was to bring the youth together under one roof, celebrate sports and develop healthy competition amongst youngsters.
Brig RK Prusty, Chairman Army Public School Kaluchak was the chief guest on the occasion.
Hem Lata Vishen, Principal APS Kaluchak encouraged the students and reiterated that sports events are meant to showcase the collective talent of the youth rather than only recognizing winners.
