JAMMU, Aug 28: Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET) organized a placement drive LINK Mega Job Fair with ICT Academy in association with All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
ICT Academy (www.ictacademy.in) is an initiative of the Government of India in collaboration with the State Governments and Industries that endeavors to train higher education teachers and students thereby developing the next generation of teachers and industry-ready students.
Some of the leading recruiters were: Concentrix, Hike Education, Infosoft Technologies, Krishna Maruti, MRF Tyre, New Allenbery Work, Okaya Power, Paytm, Reliable Automotive, Siddhi Infonet India Pvt Ltd, Super Hoze, Yokohama, Dixon Technology, Indian Japan Lighting Pvt Ltd, Bajaj Motors and Airtel with over 1200 job openings.
This Mega Job Fair invited applicants from any Technical Institution in Jammu and Kashmir approved by AICTE (2022, 2023 and 2024 Pass-out Batches). Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET) is leading the effort to give the students a chance to have a firsthand experience of placement drives.
Dean Academics, YCET Er Dinesh Gupta encouraged the students for their participation while the representatives of ICT Academy, S Ganesh, Vice- president, Head Industry and Strategic Alliance, Technology and G Saravanan, AVP- Academic Operation, briefed gathering about the Job Fair.
In the valedictory ceremony, Dr Neetu Bhagat, Deputy Director, AICTE was the special guest. She praised the efforts of YCET and ICT Academy for organizing the placement drive for the youth of UT of J&K at such a large scale. She appreciated YCET College for providing the infrastructure and the resources to an expanse.
Certificates and offer letters were distributed during the ceremony, which concluded with the vote of thanks by Er Rajnish Magotra, HoD, Civil Engineering Department, YCET.
The placement drive witnessed enthusiastic participation from the students of YCET, IMS, SMVDU, University of Jammu, BGSBU Rajouri, UIET Rothak, MBSCET, MIET, Govt Polytechnic Kathua, Govt Polytechnic Reasi, Govt Polytechnic for women Jammu, and Govt Polytechnic for Boys Jammu. A total of 80 students got job offers with highest CTC 7.8 LPA.
