JAMMU, May 20: A young housewife was found hanging with a tree under mysterious circumstances near the house of her in-laws at village Katti in Pancheri area of Udhampur district.
The deceased, identified as Sushma Devi (21) wife of Kamlesh Kumar of Katti Pancheri was found hanging by some locals who informed the police.
It could not be ascertained whether the deceased had committed suicide or it was a case of murder.
Police shifted the body to PHC Pancheri for postmortem and registered a case in this connection under Section 174 RPC for further investigation.
