KATHUA, June 16: A young house wife committed suicide at her residence in village Mahroli falling under the jurisdiction of Lakhanpur Police Station in Kathua district today.
She has been identified as Reva Devi,32, wife of Parveen Singh of village Mahroli.
The house wife was seen hanging with the ceiling fan in her room this morning by the family members. They informed the Lakhanpur Police which took the body under its custody and shifted it to District Hospital Kathua for autopsy. After autopsy the body was handed over to family members for last rites.
The Lakhanpur Police had registered a case under Section 174 and started investigation.
