KATHUA, Jan `18: Huge property loss occurred in mysterious fire that broke out in the residence of Roshan Lal in village Hariya Chack , in block Marheen during last night.
The family members of Roshan Lal said that the fire broke out during intervening night in main room having valuable items and whole room was brunt to ashes including all valuable items. The cash of Rs two lakh fifty thousand, Gold ornaments, LCD, Fridge, clothes and whole furniture brunt to ashes. He alleged some person behind the crime with whom he has rivalry in a case taken place few days back.
They said that some miscreants throw petrol and put the house on fire and one room having valuables items was completely perished in the fire.
The family which was not present in the house came to know this morning and found that the huge loss of property. They lodged a FIR at Police Station, Rajbagh but alleged that the police was not taking the matter seriously following the sensitivity of the crime.
The SHO Rajbgh, Tariq Ahmed said that a FIR under Section 436 CRPC is registered against unknown people. He added that the dispute has taken place between the two parties few days back in which a person Rajinder Kumar resident of Salalpur was seriously injured and admitted in Pathankot hospital. The second party of Roshan Lal is wanted under Section 307. They were still absconding. Now the matter of torching of house of second party has been reported. “We are properly investigating the matter to ascertain the facts”, he added.
