JAMMU, Aug 3: Actor Mudasir Zafar, who played a prominent role in Hotstar’s project ‘Shoorveer’, said that this new original series on Hotstar is packed with thrills and action, and has been receiving immense love from the audience.
“Directed by Kanishk Varma, ‘Shoorveer’ features the story of the strongest soldiers from the Air Force, Navy, and Army coming together to protect the nation from a looming threat,” Zafar who hails from Bhaderwah town of Jammu and Kashmir said.
He said, “I am essaying the role of a Pakistani ranger, Bilal Rahim. The character is quite interesting as I haven’t done anything like this before. I always look for substance in my character which could contribute to the story. That’s what matters the most to me.”
Shedding some light on the preparation he did to essay the role, Mudasir said, “Every character needs some preparation so, in order to play the character of Pakistani ranger, I also did my homework. My acting training school played a great role in getting me into the skin of the character. I have this habit of discussing every minute details of my character with my film school teacher and Gullak fame, Jameel Khan and Hollywood Acting Guru Rob Recee.”
Sharing the experience of working with director, Kanishk Varma, Mudasir said, “It was an amazing experience to work with my director, Kanishk Varma. We did some readings and rehearsals together. I got to learn a lot of new things while working with him. And the way they work hard and stay focused is really incredible. Working with him isn’t like a director-actor thing, it’s like we are one team. We shot in Pahalgam for a week and it was nothing less than a beautiful paradise. It was so chilled there that we enjoyed it a lot.”
