KATHUA, Sept 20 : In a decisive action against drug menace, a team of Police Station, Hiranagar seized five grams of heroin like substance and arrested a notorious drug peddler wanted for spread of drugs in the area.
A team of Police Station, Hiranagar led by Inspector, Vijay SHO on a tip off sensitized Londi checkpoint and apprehended a notorious drug peddler coming from Jammu on Alto car bearing Registration No. JK08F-7579 at NHW Londi Morh in the jurisdiction of Police Station, Hiranagar and seized five grams of heroin like substance from him.
The accused namely Ali, S/o Taj Din R/o Mukandpur Marheen is notorious drug peddler and was going to sell it among youth of the area.
Police Station, Hiranagar registered a case FIR No. 102/19 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act against the accused. Further investigation into the case is going on.
Kathua Police is striving hard and taking every possible step to make people especially youth aware about the ill effects of drug menace. “We request people of the area to come forward and share information about drug peddling or consumption on ?? with Police for the cause”. Police said the identity of the person giving information will be kept confidential.
