SAMBA, Sept 20: A girl student of Government Degree College Samba ended her life after consuming some poisonous substance under mysterious circumstances outside the college at Mansar Morh here, today.
According to the police, the incident took place this afternoon at around 1 pm, when a college student namely Diksha Choudhary, 19, daughter of Vijay Choudhary resident of Vijaypur who was studying in First Semester of Government Degree College Samba, consumed some poisonous substance under mysterious circumstances outside the College. After few minutes she came into college premises and suddenly fell down, police added.
The students who saw her immediately brought her to District Hospital Samba for treatment. But the doctors referred her to Government Medical College Jammu for specialized treatment but she breathed her last on way to GMC.
The cause behind her extreme step could not be immediately ascertained while police has registered a case in this connection under relevant sections of the law for further investigation.
