REASI, Dec 10: Abhinaya Kala Manch Reasi in collaboration with Sangam Theatre Group Reasi staged Hindi Play “Matdaan “at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi College of Education Reasi.
The play was written by Shorya Veer Sagar and directed by Shadab Khan. B L Kerni chairman TPHS Reasi was the chief guest while Bhram Saroop Sharma, president STG Reasi, presided over the function. Vikesh Kumar, Principal SVDCE and Tapati Viswas were the special guests.
The play was based on election promotion characters stressing for more and more participation of people in election. The play depicts rights of the voter and how to elect the right candidate.
Those who acted in different roles included, Sachdev Singh, Vishal Banathia, Manjeet Singh, Arvind Goswami and Tarsem Kumar. The lights were designed by Rakesh Kumar, music by Rifat Khan, makeup by M Akram Khan and costume by Aasim Khan. Ajay Singh was coordinator of the production while Rajesh Ajnabi was production manager.
On the occasion, chief guest appreciated the efforts made by the organizers. About 300 spectators including theatre lover, students, teachers and college staff witnessed the play.
Others present on the occasion were Vidya Sagar, Geeta Manhas, Anju Malhotra, Sunita Verma, Pooja Jamwal and Sansar Chand.
The vote of thanks was presented by M Akram Khan.
