Rajouri, June 14: Army busted a militant hideout in the Islampura area of Thannamandi, here today.
During the search operation, a cache of arms, ammunition, and explosive materials was recovered from the hideout. Recovery includes 48 rounds of Pika Gun ammunition, five pistol rounds, and one round of AK-47 ammunition. In addition to the ammunition, approximately 400 grams of explosive powder used in the fabrication of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) was also seized, indicating the likelihood of planned subversive activity in the area.

Security forces also recovered one teargas shell and a T-shirt believed to have been used for concealment or by the suspect. The recovery of such material is a clear indication of the nefarious intentions of disruptive elements, which have been effectively foiled by the swift and coordinated action of the Army, the officials said.
