KISHTWAR, Feb 13: In a major success, Jammu and Kashmir Police in association with the Army busted a militant hideout and recovered war like stores, here today.
The recoveries included one AK-56 rifle, five magazines of AK-56, 300 rounds of AK-56, one 7.62mm Pistol, one magazine of 7.62mm Pistol and four rounds of 7.62mm Pistol.
Reports said that acting on specific intelligence inputs, a joint search operation was launched by Army and J&K Police in general area Dangar Nala of Kishtwar. During the operation, the searching party found a natural cave, which was being used by the militants as hideout.
Even as militants had already fled the spot, the forces affected recoveries of arms and ammunition from the hideout.
The recovery of huge cache of arms and ammunition is a major blow to the terrorist outfits in Kishtwar area where the security forces have once again established their upper hand.
