Health sub-centre locked for 3 months, 2 suspended

RAJOURI, May 28: Two junior employees were placed under suspension while the suspension of ISM doctor ( Dwasaj) was recommended to the CMO Rajouri after the BMO Kandi (Kotranka) found a Government dispensary / Health Sub-centre locked for the last about three months at village Kangota.
After receiving certain complaints from the villagers of the area that Govt Dispensary at Kangota (Kandi) was lying closed for the last about three months and the people were facing hardships, Sub Divisional Magistrate Kotranka, Sukhpal Singh directed BMO Kandi (Kotranka) to visit the Health Sub Centre and take cognizance of the matter.
The BMO when reached the village Kangota at around 12.30 pm today found this Health sub-centre locked. He also interacted with the villagers and some Panchayat members and came to know that it was really lying closed for the last about three months.
The Block Medical Officer reported the matter to SDM and then placed two FMPHWs Kanchan Devi and Shaheen Akhtar under suspension. ISM doctor Mohd Jameel, posted at this Dispensary was also absent since long and the BMO recommended his suspension to Chief Medical Officer, Rajouri.
The people of the area alleged that due to poor monitoring of the schools, hospitals and other small offices in the rural areas by the senior officers, the general public is suffering and employees do not care to attend their duty.
