HC staff defers mass casual leave protest

JAMMU, May 9: On the assurance of Registrar General, High Court Staff Welfare Association has decided to defer the mass casual leave protest of May 13.
As asked by the Registrar General, the Association also submitted the charter of demands seeking creation of different posts as per the earlier proposal prepared by the High Court and agreed to by the Government, suitable space for the staff of the Registry in all the wings particularly at Jammu where maximum space has been captured by the Advocates.
The other demands of the Association are filling up of vacant posts of Junior Assistants/Computer staff which are lying vacant for the last more than five years alongwith promotion of Orderlies against their 25% quota as Junior Assistants, grant of ACP to all the Gazetted Staff of the High Court which stands already approved by the Full Court in 2013-14, filling up of the post of Registrar Computer from High Court Staff and two posts of Joint Registrar Computer from already existing Deputy Registrar Computers, posting of officers of the Computer Section to handle the responsibility of e-court project in place of the persons who are junior most and even working on adhoc basis, regularization of all Daily Wager/Adhoc/Daily rated/Casual workers who have already completed seven years or more service, providing of facilities commensurate with the status so far as the senior most officers of the High Court Staff are concerned etc.
