HC grants last opportunity to SSP, SHO for filing latest status report

JAMMU, Nov 16: High Court has granted last and final opportunity to Senior Superintendent of Police, Srinagar and Station House Officer, Police Station, Nageen for filing the latest status report positively within a period of 4 weeks with regard to the preliminary inquiry initiated against Dr Farooq Abdullah, former Chief Minister of J&K and Patron National Conference on the complaint of social activist for his seditious /pro-Azadi speeches made on the occasion of 111th birth anniversary of Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah at Naseem Bagh (Hazratbal) Srinagar and another speech on February 24th 2017 at Nawa-e-Subh Headquarters of National Conference.
After hearing Advocate Sheikh Shakeel Ahmed with Advocates Supriya Chouhan and Mohd Zulkarnain Chowdhary appearing for the petitioner Sukesh C Khajuria, who has been seeking registration of FIR against Dr Farooq Abdullah, whereas AAG F A Natnoo appearing vice AAG Aseem Sawhney for Home Department, Justice Mohd Akram Chowdhary while expressing displeasure over the dilatory tactics adopted by the SSP Srinagar and SHO Police Station Nageen reluctantly allowed one last and final opportunity.
