Srinagar, Nov 1: High Court today dismissed a Public Interest Litigation seeking inclusion of village Warpahoo in Srinagar Municipal Corporation’s limits in order to grant all benefits, services, and facilities to the villagers.
The petitioners had also sought to issue a writ, order in the nature of Mandamus for quashing SRO No. 319 of 2013 dated July 7 and to treat it as nonexistent with respondents asked to continue to restore the village in SMC limits.
A Division Bench of High Court comprising Justice Mansoor Ahmad Mir and Justice Ali Mohammad Magray said it as for the authorities concerned to see which area is to included or excluded from its limits.
“We do not see any ground to entertain this PIL as there is no public interest involved,” the bench said.
