JAMMU, Nov 1: Inhabitants of Shiv Nagar –A Lane 3 have expressed grave concern over the prevailing insanitation in the area.
The residents in an appeal to Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) authorities have urged them to take immediate steps in launching a sanitation drive in the area in view of the spread of dreaded dengue in the region with registration over 1000 cases so far.
The residents said that an abandoned plot of land has been converted into a dumping yard of garbage and filth and the breeding centre of mosquitoes and other insects which will likely spread epidemic in the area in case immediate steps are not taken to clean the plot by removing all the weeds and garbage from their.
The inhabitants of the locality urged the authorities to issue instructions to subordinate staff to take immediate steps in this regard and save the people from the prevailing health hazards.
