UDHAMPUR, Dec 27: National Panthers Party (NPP) chairman and MLA Ramnagar, Harshdev Singh, today called upon the District Administration Udhampur and various executing agencies to accelerate the pace of developmental works initiated in Ramnagar constituency and to ensure their completion well before the close of the current financial year.
He was undertaking a tour of villages Battal, Baryalta, Kathil Dangu, Peoni, Chiani and Tajur to inspect the ongoing developmental works in his constituency. He was accompanied by officers of PWD, PMGSY, Rural Development, PHE, M&RE, Education, I&FC besides others.
At Banyjalta and Kathil, Singh inaugurated buildings of Middle School Banyjalta and Middle School Kathil Dangu constructed at the cost of Rs 7.45 lakh each, at Peoni, a community pond constructed out of CDF, at Chiani, Panchayat Ghar constructed by Rural Devleopment Department at a cost of Rs 20 lakh.
Addressing gatherings at various places, Singh urged upon the revenue authorities to ensure immediate disbursement of relief and ex-gratia in favour of those whose houses and crops had been damaged due to incessant rains of August last. Likewise, he further sought the early release of funds for restoration works damaged due to the said rains and floods.
Singh called upon the Education Department to make up the deficiency of teaching staff in various remote and far flung area schools where academic activity had been adversely affected due to acute shortage of teachers.
He announced funds for construction of boundary wall for MS Banyjalta, construction of public platform and adjoining protection works in Peoni, construction of tractor road in ST Basti Tajur, provision of High Mast Lights besides electrification of various areas.
