Bovine smuggling bid foiled by Ghagwal police

SAMBA, Dec 27: Ghagwal police today foiled a bovine smuggling bid and rescued 12 milch animals.
A police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police party from Ghagwal police station laid a naka and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK02AG-8459.
During checking, police rescued 12 bovine animals, he said, adding that the driver of the vehicle managed to escape leaving behind the truck.
A case under FIR number 108/13 under Section 188 RPC, 2/3 Cruelty towards Animals Act, 184 MV Act has been registered at police station Ghagwal and investigation started.
Police party led by SHO Inspector Anu Kumar made the arrest under the supervision of Anil Magotra, SP and Munish Anand, DySP Headquarter.
