Guru Ravi Dass Satsang Society organises function

JAMMU, May 12: A grand function was organised by Shri Guru Ravi Dass Satsang Society Trust Sikanderpur Kothey Jammu today in connection with birth anniversary celebrations of Bharat Rattan, Dr B R Ambedkar.
During the function the meritorious students of class10th and 12th and those who were selected in IAS, IPS and KAS were honoured by the Trust. Besides, those who excelled in the field of Sports were also honoured.
A large number of devotees participated in the Sangat held under the aegis of Sant Gurdeep Giri Ji Mahraj. Santh Ji asked the gathering to eradicate social evils and refrain from use of drugs, alcohol etc. Swami Ji, while highlighting the teachings of Dr Baba Sahib said that more and more schools be opened so that every child get facility of education.
On the occasion 45 meritorious students and 10 sportspersons were honoured by Sant Ji. He said hard work with sincerity leads to success. He also highlighted the importance of education.
The function was organized under the chairmanship of Guru Maharaj and the office bearers of Guru Ravi Dass Satsang Society Sikanderpur including C L Banal, its chairman, Kesar Singh its convener, Natha Ram Angral, VC, D D Shivgotra and ML Banotia, general secretaries, Raj Kumar, cashier and others participated in it. On the occasion Guru Ka Langer was also served.
The vote of thanks was proposed by Kesar Singh, convener.
