Gursai villages without power for last 2 weeks

POONCH, June 22: Gursai area of Mendhar Sub Division is without power supply for the last about two weeks as the concerned PDD authorities have failed to restore power supply to the affected people of this belt.
Reports said that Bhaidara, Gursai and several adjoining hamlets are without power supply as the local power transformer has gone out of order. It was still lying at the same place and the concerned PDD staff has not removed it for the replacement/ repair. With this, the power supply to this belt has been snapped.
With the breakdown in power supply, the water supply has also been badly affected. The local pumping station has also turned defunct with it and water supply has also been badly hit. The people of the area have urged upon the Deputy Commissioner, Poonch, Rahul Yadav to ensure the essential supplies to the area as the public has been suffering for the last more than twelve days. They also sought the intervention of Chief Engineer PDD M&RE Jammu into the matter. They also warned to launch united struggle of the concerned authorities failed to restore supplies.
