BHADARWAH, June 8: A grid station was damaged in fire due to some technical problem, here today.
The employees, who were performing their duty at the time of fire incident, had a miraculous escape.

The employees, besides informing higher authorities, immediately called Fire and Emergency Department.
Fire tenders from Bhadarwah Fire Station reached the spot and after a struggle of around one hour, doused the flames.
According to JE STD Bhadarwah Nixon Kashyap, the incomer bank of Grid Station Bhadarwah along with 4 outgoing 11 KV panels got completely damaged due to the fire.
He added that the expensive machinery worth around Rs 20 lakh was damaged in fire, after which whole Bhadarwah and its peripheral areas came under complete power shutdown.
Xen STD Doda Jarnail Singh also visited the spot and accessed the situation arisen after fire incident.
“We are making alternative arrangements for continuing the power supply. Expert mechanics are reaching here to repair the damaged equipments”, said Xen Doda Jarnail Singh.
“Power cables were also damaged along with other equipments and we are trying to restore the power supply at grid as soon as possible”, Xen said, adding that after repairing the grid, we will find out the reason of the fire.
The team who are working tirelessly to restore the power supply including Xen STD Doda Jarnail Singh, AEE Maintenance KC Raina, JE STD Bhadarwah Nixon Kashyap, JE Sair Rafiq, Fourman Maintenance Saleem Ahmed Tak, Technician 1st Iqbal Qazi, Technician 3rd Vikram Manhas and others.
