JAMMU, Jan 22: A Bench of Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) comprising Dr Bhagwan Sahai and Rakesh Sagar Jain has disposed of the petition with the direction that respondents shall accord benefit under SRO 59 of 1990 read with Government Order No 78-PDD of 1995 to the petitioners at par with similarly situated employees of PDD working in Kashmir Division.
This exercise shall be conducted and concluded within a period of six weeks from the date copy of this order is made available to the respondents, the CAT directed.
The applicants were seeking direction to the respondents to accord and release benefits of SRO-59 of Feb 1990 dated 06.02.1990 along with Govt Order No.78-PDD of 1995 dated 20.03.1995 and bring them on par with the similarly situated field staff of Power Development Department in Kashmir Division from the date such benefits have been extended to other similarly situated employees of Kashmir Division.
