UDHAMPUR,Sept 15: To celebrate the declaration of Narendra Modi as BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate, a massive public rally was held today at Malhar on the Udhampur Bypass near here  at which BJP National Executive Member & J&K Chief Spokesperson, Dr Jitendra Singh was the chief guest while Party’s State Election Committee member Pawan Gupta and State Prabhari (Incharge) for Morchas Satish Sharma were the guests of honour.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Jitendra Singh said, it is a great providential coincidence that exactly at the time when several hundred miles away Narendra Modi was addressing lakhs of people at Rewari,in this distant hilly district of Udhampur in the border State of Jammu & Kashmir, people had come out in large numbers to add their voice to the chorus for change heralded by Modi. Modi’s arrival had so helplessly unnerved the Congress and National Conference leaders in the State that instead of talking about their own respective parties, they had begun issuing statements only about Modi, he added.

Dr Jitendra Singh said, in J&K the Coalition Government has created a new record of promoting State sponsored communal violence as was witnessed recently in Kishtwar where the administration is still continuing to instigate communal divide by rounding up innocent people from minority community in Paddar and other areas. “We are ready to accept this challenge of oppression unleashed by NC-Congress Government and very soon people will realize that BJP is the only truly secular nationalist party in contrast to the ruling parties which have been constantly playing politics of communalism, secession and divisiveness in the garb of pseudo-secularism.We are committed to expose those who indulge in anti-India rhetoric while occupying and enjoying ministerial or Chief Ministerial berths under the oath of constitution of India,he added.

Pawan Gupta said, he is 24 hours available for the service of people of Udhampur and also announced his mobile number several times on public address system for the benefit of people. Satish Sharma said, that BJP will not tolerate anti people policies of coalition Government which is instigating one community against the other.
Raj Kumar Bucha,Balwan Singh,Puran Chand ,Raj Mohd Chandel,Pawan Sharma,Navneet Gupta,Dheeraj Modi and Om Pal Sharma in addition to  several local Panchs and Sarpanchs also addressed the rally.
