JAMMU, Dec 3: Government Polytechnic, Bikram Chowk, Jammu today released first edition of the college magazine ‘ASPIRE’.
The magazine was released by Khursheed Ahmed Shah, Secretary Technical Education & Youth Services and Sports Department and Parvaiz Iqbal Khateeb, Director Technical Education.
Principal of the institute, Er Arun Bangotra, informed that the college magazine has been released after almost four decades. The last edition of the college magazine CRAFT was released in mid seventies, he added.
ASPIRE means Arise, awake and stop not till the goal is reached and it is a fresh start in which staff and students of the college will show their creative writing skills and innovative ideas. The editorial team of the staff for college magazine comprises of Tariq Amin -Editor Incharge, Er Khalid Sheikh, Er Sakshi Kapai, Er Deepika Sharma, Er Ajay Thapa and Er Rishabh Gupta.
The editorial board of students include Dawar Hussain (Architecture), Manik Bhatia and Bisma Wani (Mechanical), Himanshu and Arjun Rajput (Electrical).
On the occasion, Khursheed Ahmed Shah also presented trophies to Er Arun Bangotra Principal of the college, Er Inderjeet Singh (Chairman of recently concluded Sports week), Er K S Bhatia (Vice-chairman) and Rakesh Kakkar (Sports secretary).
Others who graced the occasion, included Er N H Malik, Secretary, SBOTE, Er M S Bhat, Joint Director, Technical Education, Er Bodh Raj Verma, Principal, YCET, Er Kildee Raj Sharma, Principal, North Polytechnic, Er Neelanjana Manwati, Principal, Govt Women Polytechnic Jammu, Er Ritu Jamwal and Suket Gupta Principal, Govt Polytechnic Reasi and Samba, along with all HODs, staff and students.
