JAMMU, Dec 18: Former State president of Bahujan Samaj Party, Tulsi Dass Langeh expressed grave concern over the criteria fixed by Government for identifying the people living below the poverty line (BPL) under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) that a person possessing gas connection and having with tin covered roof top or a person with cell phone does not fall under Below Poverty line (BPL) category.
In a press statement Mr Langeh said that this is a cruel joke with the people living below the poverty line where as the criteria should have been a monthly source of income. It is evident that Government is not interested to provide a little bit relief to the people living below poverty line. He alleged that the survey being conducted by the CAPD department is mere eye wash.
