KISHTWAR, Dec 18: The civil society of Kishtwar in a meeting here, today held under the chairmanship of Shamsher Singh Bhandari has cautioned the people against the evil designs of divisive forces who are hell bent to disturb peace in the area.
The meeting said that the vested elements were trying to disturb the peaceful situation for their interests and the civil society will not allow them to succeed in their vicious designs. The meeting said that the vested elements indulging in disruptive activities are the worst enemies of the people and they are trying to hamper the development and progress of the region and civil society will not allow it to happen at nay cost now and it will launch a crusade against such forces.
The meeting said the civil society will work for fostering the bonds among the people of different communities by holding inter -community meetings, social gatherings and other functions.
The civil society later in a statement said that peace is imperative for the development and progress of the State which has been hampered to a great extent in last 26 years of turmoil and all political parties and social organizations should work for promotion of peace in the district so that no untoward happens in future.
