UDHAMPUR, Dec 19: Alleging that District administration and some officers were promoting ex MLAs by inviting them in Govt functions and meetings, former MLA and NPP president Balwant Singh Mankotia said that this illegal practice must be immediately stopped.
“Some officers of various departments are promoting ex MLAs, which is totally against the law and the same should be stopped forthwith,” he said while addressing a press conference, here today. He alleged that some leaders were trying to hide their plunders and officers were trying to promote their political agenda.
The NPP president explained that after the dissolution of Assembly, there is no sitting MLA in the State but some officers are doing contravention of Law by inviting these Ex-Legislators to inaugurate Govt functions and hold the meetings of various departments which is totally unacceptable.
He further alleged that the officers were ignoring the developmental issues of general public and were busy in promoting some leaders. Mankotia warned of strong protest if such complains continue to pour in.
Councillor Samnik Bhasin and Chanchal Singh were also present during the press conference.
