Govt gives final 15-day extension to employees for APR filing

JAMMU, Apr 30: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has granted a final 15-day extension to its employees for filing Annual Property Returns (APRs) for the year 2025 through the online Property Return System (PRS) portal.
According to a notification issued by the General Administration Department, all employees had earlier been directed to submit their property returns on the PRS portal between Jan 1 and Jan 31, 2026. The deadline was later extended twice for 15 days each in February.
The Government said it has been observed that some employees failed to submit their returns within the prescribed timeline, while some others registered on the portal but did not complete the filing process.
In view of this, the Government said a last and final opportunity has now been given to defaulting employees to submit their returns online within 15 days from the date of issuance of the notification.
The notification warned that failure to file property returns attracts punitive action under the provisions of the Jammu and Kashmir Public Men and Public Servants Declaration of Assets Act and Rules.
It said non-submission may also be treated as criminal misconduct under the Prevention of Corruption Act and could lead to denial of vigilance clearance to the defaulting employees.
Meanwhile, the employees facing OTP-related issues have been asked to update their mobile numbers and email IDs on the CPIS portal.
For technical assistance, they have been directed to contact the support email notified by the Government.
The Government has also directed all Controlling Officers and Drawing and Disbursing Officers to ensure strict compliance and submit details of employees who fail to file returns after expiry of the final deadline.
