JAMMU, Feb 14: The Union Territory Government today deputed 56 officers to hold road shows in six major cities of the country for interaction with potential investors as part of pre-event activities for Jammu and Kashmir Global Investors Summit-2020.
The road shows will be held at Bengaluru, Kolkata, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai and Ahmedabad, an official order issued today by the General Administration Department (GAD) said.
The J&K Government proposed to hold Global Investors Summit in the month of May to attract massive private investments after conversion of the erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir State into the Union Territory and abrogation of special Constitutional provisions which barred outsiders from purchasing land in the erstwhile State.
As per the Government order, 10 Government officers have been deputed to Bengaluru where they will hold the road show on February 17 in IT and ITeS, Manufacturing, Food Processing and Bio Technology sectors.
The officers included Bipul Pathak, Principal Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor, Rohit Kansal, Manzoor Ahmad Lone, Simrandeep Singh, Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, Sushma Chauhan, Anoo Malhotra, Raj Kumar Katoch, Mussarat-ul-Islam and Atul Sharma.
Six Government officers will be holding road show at Kolkata on February 17 in Engineering and Tourism sectors. They are Hirdesh Kumar, Zubair Ahmad, Ravinder Kumar, Dr Piyush Singla, Ghulam Nabi Itoo and Babila Rakwal.
Ten officers visiting Mumbai on February 21 to hold road show on Financial Services, Media and Entertainment, Anchor Industry and Film Industry, are Arun Kumar Mehta, Rohit Kansal, Manoj Kumar Dwivedi, Zubair Ahmad, Ravinder Kumar, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar, Doifode Sagar Dattatry, Anoo Malhotra, Bashir Ahmed Dar and JS Dua.
Nine officers will visit Hyderabad and hold road show on IT, Bio Tech and Pharma sectors on March 2.
They included Atal Dulloo, Manoj Kumar Dwivedi, Simrandeep Singh, Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, Raghav Langer, Babila Rakwal, Mahmood Ahmad Shah, Raj Kumar Katoch and Om Parkash Bhagat.
Another batch of nine officers will hold road show at Chennai on March 5 in Auto & Auto Component, Textiles, IT & ITeS sectors.
They included Atal Dulloo, Bipul Pathak, Sushma Chauhan, Ravinder Kumar, Rohit Khajuria, Nisar Ahmad Wani, Mahmood Ahmad Shah, Mussarat-ul-Islam and Tariq Hussain Ganai.
Last road show will be held on March 9 at Ahmedabad on Textile, Food Processing and Manufacturing sectors.
They are Arun Kumar Mehta, Dheeraj Gupta, Manoj Kumar Dwivedi, Raghav Langer, Ravinder Kumar, Choudhary Mohammad Yasin, Anoo Malhotra, Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza, Indu Kanwal Chib and Javed Khan.
