SRINAGAR, June 4: Sreerupa Mitra Chaudhary, Chairperson, Institute for Gender Justice (IGJ) , called on N.N. Vohra, Governor, here at the Raj Bhavan today.
Ms. Choudhary, on the occasion of the World Environment Day, which is observed every year on June 5, presented a symbolic “Tree of Peace” to the Governor and briefed him about the environment conservation activities undertaken by the Institute; particularly the plantation drives in J&K.
The Governor lauded the role being played by the IGJ for promoting the noble and significant cause of environmental conservation and wished Ms. Choudhary continuing success in her future endeavours.
