SAMBA, Nov 27: District police Samba under the overall supervision of Dr. Koshal Sharma, SSP Samba, once again succeeded in foiling bovine smuggling attempt under the jurisdiction of Police Station, Ghagwal by rescuing 10 bovines.
As per reports, a police party of P/S Ghagwal headed by Inspector Rajeev Kumar, SHO Ghagwal under the close supervision of Deepak Digra, Dy.SP Hqrs Samba, during vehicle checking at Police Naka NHW Tapyal intercepted a truck bearing registration No. JK02AP-5569 which was coming from Kathua side. During checking of the vehicle, 10 bovines were found laden inside the vehicle which were being transported illegally without any permission. The vehicle was seized on spot and all the bovines were rescued.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 154/2018 U/s 188/RPC, 2/3 PCA Act, has been registered at P/s Ghagwal and investigation started.
