JAMMU, Nov 27: Chairman Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) Jammu Region, Sanjeev Verma today provided help to a poor differently abled couple to solemnize the marriage ceremony of their daughter as they do not have any source of income.
Anita Devi and Jagdish Raj of Gurha Pattan, Bhalwal near here were given utensils, blankets, clothing and financial assistance of Rs 25,000 to solemnize the marriage of their daughter Sushmita scheduled to be held on Dec 13.
The cheque of Rs 25,000 and some articles were handed over to the beneficiary at RC office Jammu by Dr. Shelly Mahajan, Medical Officer, RC dispensary in the presence of Dinesh Gupta, Secretary, team of Red Cross officials and Volunteers.
