SAMBA, Oct 24: The representatives from Brahman, Rajput and Mahajan communities today appealed the Government to implement recent High Court order on reservation in the  promotions quota in Government jobs in letter and spirit or face the wrath from the other communities.
Addressing a joint press conference here today, Capt (Retd) Inder Singh Sambyal president Distt Rajput Sabha; Ravi Khajuria- president Brahman Sabha Samba and Hari Krishan Gupta-president Mahajan Sabha Samba,  said that some politicians and organizations were exploiting some members of the society by creating wedge and disturbing peace in the State over the issue of  quota in promotions. They said that High Court has brought an end to the illegal practice of reservation in the promotions by some communities by delivering historic judgment.
With this over 70 % population has felt a sigh of relief. Now the Government should implement this High Court judgment in letter and spirit without caring for the political blackmailing tactics of some organizations and politicians. They said that with this judgment the members from general categories have been given great relief  by the High Court and the political parties lack such a will to undo the wrong things for their vested political interests. Unfortunately, some political parties which have lost their ground and even the social organizations, are now trying to exploit people from reserved categories for their vote bank politics. Such people are causing great damage to the society and are trying to create wedge.
The leaders from general categories warned the Government to implement the Court orders or get ready to face the State-wide agitation in near future.
Surjit Singh, Suram Singh, Milap Singh, Kamal Sharma, Nagesh Kumar, Chander Shekhar, Mohan Singh and many others were present on the occasion.
