JAMMU, Oct 11: Government Degree College (GDC) Jindrah organized an international Urdu (online) Mushaira wherein 10 poets from different countries participated.
The chief patron of the Mushaira was Talat Parvez Rohilla, Commissioner Secretary Higher Education while patron of the programme was Professor (Dr) Raj Shree Dhar, Principal GDC Jindrah.
Convener of the programme was Dr Ashaq Choudhary, Assistant Professor Urdu at GDC Jindrah.
The Mushaira was presided over by Fahim Akhtar from England and Dr Walla Jamal was the guest of honour. Principal GDC Jindrah presented welcome address and vote of thanks was presented by Rajiv Katoch, Assistant Professor GDC Jindrah.
The programme was conducted by Dr Ashaq Choudhary and it culminated with appreciation from the poets who participated in the Mushaira.
The participating poets in the Mushaira were Fahim Akhter (England), Dr Wala Jamal El Essily Sahibha (Egypt), Salaam Hamed (Bangladesh), Imtaz Gorakh Puri (Mumbai), Dr Rashid Azeez (Kashmir), Pritama Sinha (Banaras), Prof. Irfan Arif (Jammu), Dr. Raza Ahmed Raza (Poonch), Khursheed Kirmani (Poonch) and Mohtashim Ehteshaam (Poonch).
More then hundred audiences witnessed the programme.
