Gamblers nabbed in Baramulla, stake money seized

Srinagar, July 30: Police in Baramulla today said to have arrested 3 gamblers and seized stake money from their possession.
Acting on specific information, a police party from Police Station Tangmarg raided a gambling site at village Zeeran following an input about gambling activities and apprehended three gamblers.
“They have been identified as Ab Razak Gojri son of Gaffar Gojri resident of Devbugh Kunzer, Bashir Ahmad Dar son of Fateh Mohd Dar resident of Walraman Chandoosa and Zahoor Ahmad Sheikh son of Ab Rahim Sheikh resident of Hardumadam Tangmarg,” police said.
Police said that the officers have seized stake money of Rs 10,890 and playing cards from the gamblers.
“They have been arrested and shifted to the police station where they remain in custody. Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered and further investigation has been initiated,” police said.
