105 booked in Samba for violating COVID SOPs

SAMBA, July 30: Continuing its crackdown on violators of COVID Appropriate Behavior (CAB), Samba police today in a joint drive with district civil administration booked 105 persons across the district and imposed a fine amounting to Rs 52,500 on them.
Police said in order to enforce COVID SOPs and to ensure that the people of district Samba follow COVID Appropriate Behavior (CAB), various joint teams of Samba police and district civil administration booked 105 persons for not wearing face masks, not maintaining social distancing and for spitting in public places.
Samba police renews its appeal to all its citizens to follow COVID guidelines, maintain social distancing, wear face mask and avoid unnecessary travel.
