JAMMU, June 4: Gandhi Nagar and Bishnah zones registered wins in Under-14 boys, while Satwari and Bhalwal zones scripted wins in under-17 boys Inter-Zonal Cricket Tournament, being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, District Jammu, under the overall supervision of Madan Lal, Joint Director, here.
Chanchal Kour, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Jammu is the Organizing Secretary of the tournament.
In all, 448 boys drawn from 14 zones of District Jammu are taking part in the Tournament, the objective of which is to select the teams of District Jammu for Division Level Inter-District Tournaments.
Earlier, in Under-14 boys at Govt High Scholl Jammu Cantt, Gandhi Nagar defeated Jammu Zone by 6 wickets, while Bishnah Zone got the better of Khour Zone by 9 wickets.
In Under-17 boys, Satwari outplayed Bishnah by 9 wickets, while Bhalwal drubbed Khour by 34 runs.
The matches were officiated by a panel of experts drawn from the Department of Youth Services and Sports.
