SAMBA Sept 2: In connection with Prime Minister’s Jeewan Suraksha Yojna the local Sarpanch organised a programme on the directives of Union Minister in PMO with independent charge of North Eastern States, Dr Jitendra Singh at Village Sanghwali in Samba district today.
The function was attended by large number of people from the village and adjoining areas. It was organised by Sarpanch Tarseem Singh in collaboration with Dr Singh’s personnel staff at 13 A Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
On the occasion 150 women were insured under PM’s Jeewan Suraksha Yojna on spot through JK Bank. The funds for the same were paid by Dr Jitendra Singh’s personnel account.
The BJYM senior leader Bharat Sharma and Dr Jitendra Singh’s personnel assistant Divender Singh Wazir were the main speakers at the programme.
Speaking on the occasion Bharat Sharma said that Dr Singh who had adopted Sanghwali village among the four villages in his Lok Sabha Constituency will bear the premium for insurance scheme of all women folk out of his own pocket.
He said Dr Singh will also bear the premium of insurance in other three villages adopted by him and the next programme will be held in Saddal Udhampur which too has been adopted by Dr Singh.
