UDHAMPUR, Dec 28: Chemotherapy facility for BPL patients undergoing cancer treatment in Government Hospital is free. This was stated in the meeting of Governing Body of Rogi Kalyan Samiti at District Hospital (DH) Udhampur held under the chairmanship of Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) Udhampur, Balwant Singh Mankotia, who is also the Chairman of Rogi Kalyan Samiti (RKS).
It was also disclosed in the meeting that new facilities would be coming up with the upgradation of Cardiac Patient Monitoring and Care, completion of Trauma Center, Digital X-Ray with DR System and Laboratory besides blood bank besides fully automatic bio chemistry.
During the meeting, the MLA asked the hospital administration to provide best medicare facilities to the patients. He directed the officer of Municipal Council to ensure proper sanitation around the hospital premises by taking necessary steps.
Mr. Mankotia asked the hospital administration for taking immediate measures to make the Operation Theater and ICU functional in the Trauma Center so that the modern medicare facilities would be provided to the patients.
Other issues which were discussed in the meeting mainly include construction of additional 50 bedded NCH Block for pregnant women and children, Sulabh Sochalaya, May I Help U facility for general information, upgradation of emergency OPD, upgradation of mortuary and regularization of vehicular traffic in the hospital complex.
Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Arun Sharma, Medical Superintendent, Dr. Chander Parkash, Dy Medical Superintendent, Dr Deepak Kumar, Engineers of PWD, PHE, PDD, representatives of NGOs and other officers of different departments were present in the meeting.
